Upcoming Events

You can attend a standalone session for Women or People Uncorked, join us on a field trip to a local sex shop or museum, or sign up for one of the Uncorked Collective series. All sessions are discussion based, with more emphasis placed on education in the Collective series. Discussions are loosely moderated, with the goal that everyone gets to speak and be heard. Sessions typically have a topic, but all experiences and questions are welcome. All attendees are welcome to speak, to comment, to query — or just to listen, if that feels better.

Wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks are served unless otherwise specified. Tickets for the standalone sessions are $25 per person or $45 for two, while the price for the Collective series vary. We encourage you to bring a friend or partner! If money is tight, contact me for pay-what-you-can options.

People Uncorked: Risk Mitigation

An important thing that isn't talked about nearly enough is how to have safer sex. And that's a shame because one reason some of us have less sex than we'd like is because it can seem scary or dangerous. Unplanned pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and physical and emotional pain are all real concerns.

At this People Uncorked session, we're going to separate fact from fiction around birth control options and STIs, talk about our lived experinces, and maybe even roleplay having The Talk with a prospective partner. You'll leave feeling more confident in your ability to mitigate risk around sex.

This event is open to everyone: men, women, and nonbinary.

Advance tickets can be purchased here, or venmo me @rebeccahassell to avoid the ticketing fees.

Women Uncorked: Hot Seat Game Night

We're going to flip the script at this Uncorked session by playing a version of "Hot Seat." Each person who chooses to be in the hot seat will answer questions about their experience with and views about sex. Being in the hot seat is NOT mandatory, you can choose the "spice level" of the questions you're asked, and you can skip any question that is too personal. I predict that this will help people share viewpoints that we don't normally get to see, and that it will be very fun AND funny. Give it a shot!

This event to everyone who identifies as a woman and/or is AFAB.

Tickets can be purchased in advance here, or you can venmo me @rebeccahassell.

Women Uncorked: Boundaries 101

The word boundaries has been a hot topic for the last few years, but it's been misused so frequently that it's hard to know what it means anymore. At this Women Uncorked, we're going to talk about the real definition of boundaries and how to utilize them to keep you feeling safe and respected, as well as how to enforce them. I'll guide you through somatic exercises to help you tune into your body's messages. You'll leave with an expanded perspective and better understanding of what your yes and no mean and feel like.

This session is part of the Women Uncorked Sex Positivity Collective sex discussion/education group, which meet every three weeks for five more sessions (including this one). Its focus is on becoming comfortable talking about sex, asking for what you want, and enjoying sex more. It is a supportive environment to ask questions, explore challenges, share your triumphs, and mourn disappointments.

If you enjoy it, you can sign up for the rest of the sessions. The idea is that, by being with the same group of people each time, you’ll become more comfortable and trusting, feeling safer to share openly. Our sessions will always include discussion and will frequently contain an educational component as well.

Single tickets are $25 each or $45 for two. They can be purchased in advance here or venmo me @rebeccahassell and avoid the fees.

People Uncorked: Question or Confession

What the world needs more of is sex discussions – and that’s a big leap for most of us who have been raised with shame, anxiety, and attempted mind reading around what happens in the bedroom and the backseat of the car.

Let’s ease into this with a “Question or Confession” session: everyone writes down a sex-related question they have or confession they’d like to make. When your submission is read, you have the choice to speak up or listen quietly as the group talks about it. It’s a lot of fun, and you’ll be amazed at both how different and similar we all are!

This event is open to everyone: male, female, nonbinary.

Advance tickets can be purchased here, or venmo me @rebeccahassell to avoid the fees.

Women Uncorked: How to Flirt

When you think of flirting with someone, do you feel excited or scared? Are you confident in your ability to let someone know that you’re interested in them, or do you worry that you’re either doing it too boldly or with too much subtlety? What if they’re not interested – do you feel rejected or like that’s how the game goes?

Let’s talk about flirting, and what it does and doesn’t say about us. Maybe you’ll even learn some new skills or relax some assumptions. No Cosmo-style quizzes needed!

This event is open to everyone who identifies as a woman. Advance tickets can be purchased here.

Women Uncorked: Seeing Other People

Do you prefer to date one person at a time, or, with so many folks ghosting and no-showing from dating apps, do you like to keep multiple eggs in your basket? Is it infidelity if you’re sleeping with more than one person and haven’t told them that you’re doing that – but you haven’t officially declared that you’re monogamous with them either? And how do these things work for people in open relationships – do you do whatever you want? Let’s talk about expectations around exclusivity.

This event is open to everyone who identifies as a woman. Advance tickets can be purchased here.
